Broken-dam flow over a containment dike
Greenspan and Young (1978) presented experimental results of the
surge front of a fluid column (8x9in) that collapses under the
influence of gravity and subsequently impacts a containment dike.
The dike is placed at 18in from the left side of the fluid column.
After impact, the fluid piles up and pours over a dike while
a wave returns toward the region of initial collapse, all in less than 1s.
